❓ Frequently Asked Questions ❓
I’ve answered some of the most common questions below to help make your wedding planning feel simple and stress-free. If there’s anything else you’d like to know, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
How long will my makeup last?
I use professional-quality products, along with primer and setting spray, to ensure your makeup looks beautiful and lasts throughout the day and into the evening.
Do I need a bridal trial?
A trial is not essential, but it is highly recommended. It gives us the opportunity to meet, explore your ideas and refine your final look so you feel completely confident and relaxed on your wedding day.
What happens at a bridal trial?
Your trial is a relaxed, personalised appointment where we:
-
Talk through your wedding vision
-
Look at inspiration photos
-
Create and refine your hair and makeup look
I’ll guide you with what will suit your features, hair type and overall style, while still making sure the final look feels like you.
How long does a trial take?
Most trials take between 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on the look and any adjustments we make along the way.
Do my bridesmaids need a trial?
This is completely up to you. Some brides choose to have a bridesmaid trial, while others are happy to finalise their look on the day.
Can I use my own makeup?
Yes, you’re welcome to use your own products. However, I can’t guarantee how they will wear or photograph compared to professional products.
Should I wash my hair before the wedding?
Yes — I recommend clean, dry hair unless otherwise discussed.
Full preparation details will be provided closer to your wedding day.
How many people can you accommodate?
I can comfortably accommodate small to medium bridal parties on my own.
For larger groups, I can arrange a second stylist to assist — helping the morning run smoothly and ensuring a relaxed experience for everyone.
What time will you arrive on the wedding day?
Start times are planned based on your ceremony time and the number of services booked.
A detailed schedule will be organised with you closer to your wedding date to ensure everything runs smoothly and you feel relaxed throughout the morning.
Do you charge travel fees?
Yes — travel is charged for all wedding bookings and is calculated based on distance and travel time from my home salon in Wattle Grove.
For destination weddings, additional travel and accommodation costs may apply.
Do you travel to my location?
Yes — I offer mobile services and will travel to your home, hotel or chosen venue. All that’s needed is a table and good lighting, and I’ll bring everything else.
Why choose a mobile hair & makeup service?
Having your hair and makeup done at your location allows for a calm, relaxed start to your day — no travel, no rushing, just time to enjoy getting ready with your loved ones.
Do you provide lashes?
Yes — lashes are available and can be added to your service.
Do you stay for touch-ups?
I complete all final touch-ups just before I leave to ensure everyone is looking fresh and polished before getting dressed and heading off.
What if I’m travelling or can’t attend a trial?
That’s absolutely fine — many brides book from interstate or overseas. We can discuss your vision via email, and I’ll guide you through everything to ensure you feel confident ahead of your day.
How far in advance should I book?
Wedding dates often book out 12+ months in advance, especially during peak seasons. I recommend enquiring as early as possible to secure your date.
Trials are usually booked 6–8 weeks before the wedding.
How do deposits and cancellations work?
A deposit is required to secure your wedding date.
If your booking is cancelled:
-
More than 120 days prior — partial refund applies
-
60–120 days — limited refund applies
-
Less than 60 days — deposit is non-refundable
Changes to services within 30 days of the wedding may incur a cancellation fee.
(Full details will be provided at the time of booking.)
Can I bring children to my trial?
To keep your trial as relaxed and enjoyable as possible, I recommend attending without children where possible.
Where can I view your pricing?
All pricing can be found on my Wedding page on the website.
